Named the number one place to shop in Stockport by tripadvisor, ‘with over 60 individual, independent stalls the Vintage Emporium, Stockport is a fabulous place to while away a day shopping and marveling at the weird and wonderful vintage wares. It was also a great surprise to find that the prices have remained affordable and not massively inflated despite the convenience of having so many sellers under one roof.‘  (The Fabulous Times)

The Vintage Emporium has free parking, free entry, a cafe and
assisted disabled access. ‘Shoppers can pick up vintage fashions from the last century - from dresses and heels to bow ties and leather boots - as well as home furnishings, handbags, luggage, kitchenalia, ornaments, records and toys.‘   (Manchester Evening News)

‘Imagine, if you will, a world filled with everything you love. A world filled with decent quality vintage. You my friend, have imagined The Vintage Emporium at Pear mill in Stockport. I have never, in all my many years of vintage shipping seen this volume of great quality vintage in one place at the same time.’ (

‘You really must head over here. And allow as much time as possible.’ (Old Fashioned Susie Blog)

‘Fantastic place. Loved every bit of it!!!  I had seen this quirky place on facebook and i just knew it was right up my street as i love all things vintage, retro and unique and it did not disappoint.  We enjoyed some breakfast and a pot of tea from the tearoom situated on the same floor, which was delicious and the little touches on the tables of fresh flowers in the milk bottles and a boxes of dominos
and playing cards to entertain us was great. We loved listening to the vintage jukebox playing in the background, good choice of music.  We was fascinated at how much furniture, clothing, crockery, vinyl records and accessories are on display. We couldn't keep our eyes still for a minute, there was so much to see. We would highly recommend this lovely place. We will definitely be visiting again as we didn't realise how big the shop was, so we have agreed to come back again to explore more and maybe next time take advantage of the lovely homemade cakes on display in the tearoom, they looked amazing!!!  See you again very soon’ (source)

‘Love spending a few hours just mooching ...always find something that makes us laugh. The cafe is fabulous and also well worth a visit, beautiful cakes and proper big pots of tea. You can take your pooch there too if you want, a very fun, relaxing and chilled place.’ (source)
